I hope no one you love or care about is ever killed by gun violence, Marc. Not your mother, your father, your wife, your kids or your friends. I hope you, and they, never have to stare down the barrel of a gun in the hands of a sociopath intent on murder.

And I hope you keep your own guns locked up so that they won't be stolen, or so that your kids won't accidently shoot themselves.

I mean that sincerely. That's all I can wish you. You and I have completely opposed visions of things around gun issues.

I'm grateful that I am me. I would not want to be you for a moment.
