I hear you, EEE (no pun intended). I've no doubt lost a bit of hearing due to the hundreds of
shows I've attended over the last 35 years. Of late, I've fried my ears during the last few
Turner shows as I typically take up space next to the speakers that line the stage. And I
guard that turf zealously (though I now carry cotton balls for the ears). But I'm with you, the
sound often seems off the charts. When the bass reverberates through your body to such an
extent that it feels potentially lethal, well, something's probably wrong, and someone should
ratchet down their amps from "11". But I'm not retreating from the stage. :)Peter T.
