@ Every Roger Waters concert (except for Radio K.A.O.S. at Blossom Music Center/Amphitheatre where he used only a wall of stacks) the decibels always seem to be very precisely attenuated across the band. Defined & subtle vocal and instrument percussives, etcetera, can be picked up & enjoyed by all. I’d be willing to bet The Wall, as grandiose as it is, is beautifully mixed to the entire arena——concert sound dynamic is very often a topic of RW interviews. Also Neil Young acoustic had perfect volume, as well as Bruce Springsteen solo acoustic (as Eric already mentioned) at the college. & a Cherry Poppin’ Daddies small venue (dive) concert, as a matter of fact Heath, was just loud enough you could rock the f#@k out albeit with instrumental clarity——but jeez that was in a previous life wasn’t it.. I’m trying to think of what else.

OH..Yeah! Pearl Jam has had outstanding sound levels too. Loud enough and very clear. Funny thing: Queens of The Stone Age opened for PJ the 2nd to last time and THEY were wayyyy too loud—we had our fingers in our ears trying to enjoy the performance …& the bottom-end was like gut punches. But then Pearl Jam took the stage and poof! it was sweeeet. But I haven’t been to a concert in a while. & I may be making all o this up …just for the attention :O)
