Peter T.,As you seem to be, I am so disillusioned with America and its citizens and this supposed grand experiment of democracy.Lately, when contrasted to the rest of the world, in a way, I do not feel Americans deserve, or continue to earn, America. I also feel that this country is reaping what it is cultivating for its full on acceptance of consumerism and commercialism capitalism. We care more about things we can buy, things we can watch and existing in a knowledge based vacuum. It is especially distressing to me how intelligence in America, culture in America, science in America, good civics in America, are now things scoffed at and frowned upon.
