you can't begin to understand the insidious hold that smartphones (combined with social media) often
have on them (especially girls). The Atlantic article reveals how these devices adversely impact the lives
of their young users. I don't think I'm overestimating the negative implications of this technology in the
hands of children who are too young and powerless to comprehend what it's doing to them. Too many
parents don't know what they're signing up for when they let these phones into their homes. And when
