It can't be overstated. This podcast touches upon many subjects (the “attention” economy and the
devices/apps/websites/advertisements fashioned by the big tech companies to grab our attention, the
question of what is “time well spent”, the political uses of big data, human psychology, and many more). All
of us can fall prey to the powerful engineering that tech companies have developed. I know I've fallen down
numerous internet rabbit holes that squandered my attention. And I'll undoubtedly continue to do so! As in so
many areas, young people are the easiest targets.Anyway, I can't praise this conversation enough. If your time is limited, and I imagine it is for many of us, you
might want to listen in chunks. There's a lot to digest and reflect upon.Peter T.
