This week, I learned that my biracial niece (my sister-in-law is from Uganda) has been subjected to repeated racial epithets from a group of her high school classmates ("why don't you bleach your skin?" being but one example). Gee, I wonder what unleashed this wave of hatred? She had never heard this shit during her elementary and middle school years! We'll be dealing with the destructive and corrosive effects of Trump for years and years to come.

At the conclusion of this most odious presidency, will we need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission!
