I'll bet David is firmly in the grip of empty nest syndrome. His son is away in college, no doubt having the time of his life. While David is surely pining for those not-so-long ago weekends of endlessly watching his son masterfully use the crossover dribble, hit the game winning 3-pointer, and being raised on the shoulders of his teammates. Now, he's no doubt muttering, "Gee, I wonder what Bek is up to? Should I call him? Would it be okay? I don't want to bug him?"

Might wife and I were similarly afflicted 5-6 years ago. This too shall pass, David! (Not that he checks in here)

And in Baerwald's weakest moments he's strumming the guitar to Harry Chapin's " Cat's In The Cradle", or, at what surely must be the lowest depths of human existence, "Watching Scotty Grown". The man needs an intervention!
