50 million Americans have an IQ that of 85 or below. Through no fault of their own, in all likelihood, they'll be struggling mightily in a world that prizes brain power, in a world where automation greatly reduces manufacturing jobs. We have an obligation to these folks. And I would imagine that many of them are in fact Trump supporters. Yet, these same supporters are reflexively opposed to social programs that would help them. A case in point, every now and then you hear criticism of school lunch programs. What these fools don't realize is that those young brains demand nutrients if they are to grow, and early interventions can add IQ points and thus open up more economic and life-enriching opportunities.
