Only thing I'd say there (since I agree with much of it) is that I've seen many defenders put down the idea that Bernie is a socialist. It does appear that he's come off of some of his positions from 30-40 years ago, when he was clearly presenting as a socialist. However, when I read his platform I see all kinds of parallels and even some nearly identical pieces to the charlatan populist platforms of Hugo Chavez (although admittedly not all). Having witnessed and lived with this first hand, it's not the way. Think the anti-Mandalorian: "This is not the way."
It's OK if you don't agree. I'd pull in more specifics if I had time, but I just don't tonight. I respect your point of view if you disagree.
In a Biden/Trump race, I'd hold my nose and vote Biden and assume he could put enough competent people around himself. In a Sanders/Trump race, it would be a protest vote (and lamentably since I live in Texas, "my people" are going to send electoral college votes for Trump. That stings.)
