We all know influencing the voting populace has a cynical bent to it, so my thought is if Biden decides to pick a white, female VP, he should allow Michelle Obama to announce it (heck, maybe he should allow her to do it regardless).  My reasoning for this is that a Michelle Obama announcement would give a showing of legitimacy to the VP selection to people of color (and when I speak of "hubris" and its dangers, this is an example of it - typically presidential candidates WANT the attention of announcing the selection, but this is not a "typical" election.  Different things need to be done).
