Well the effort to suppress the vote by closing polling locations and trying to gum up voting by mail, as well as doing a gigantic purge of voter registries will be like nothing we have ever seen during this election. This is really our greatest issue coming into November. The rule of thumb is if voter turnout is low that is good for Republicans and good for incumbents. So, Republicans do not want people to vote.

The Kentucky primary was a test run for McConnell. Reducing places people could vote from 3700 to 170 must have been like a giant dose of Viagra to Mitch. The argument was that was done due to Covid but the truth is jamming more people into fewer places actually increases the risk of getting Covid...which was what they wanted...what would have made more sense would be to have more places to vote so people DO NOT have to stand in a line for hours to vote.

Kentucky I believe wanted people to get sick and wanted to turn that primary into a mess. Ugly.

Will fewer elderly people vote? Well, I think they will vote if they can vote by mail, which Trump has worked tirelessly to stop, but I believe team Trump has worked hard to push the Covid situation to get worse to basically make people not want to go out to vote. I'm in Massachusetts so it should not be an issue but my elderly parents plan to vote by mail. If that was not an option I don't think they would be voting this November.
