I don't know about "best of all time." He would have those really good economic numbers to boast about, but the reckoning that will come with a number of his environmental regulation rollbacks is something that will still become evident later. That said, on a few of those, I agreed with him. It can be complicated.
But indeed, with more stable and consistent leadership, the US could have perhaps rode this out in a much better position numerically than did Western Europe, and that would have really counted for something. He owns most of that, and I think it's why he loses. But yes, there's too much of it out there now to roll back the numbers. To an extent, I agree with Trump that a second near full-lockdown might not be all that possible now. It's just marking time until a vaccine helps smooth the way. We got through 1918, I believe a higher percentage of Americans were killed in that pandemic. We'll make it through this.
Incidentally, I took my 18-year-old son to vote today in what was his first election. That's at least two more Texan votes that were NOT for Donald.
