Icon What elected Republicans and infotainment media have done is unforgivable...

Yes, that 52% is so insane basically, I do not want to believe it is true. I do not want to believe that many people in our country are that far gone. However, then you look at other polling data and you see things like only 24% of Trump supporters believe Covid is an issue. Obviously this is probably true based on the wackos that believe being asked to wear a mask is a violation of their rights and "against god."

All of this is based upon a decades long attack on the minds of Republican voters. They have been swamped by lies and bullshit and they don't know which way is up. Democrats did not do this to them, CNN and the New York Times did not do this to them. This was inflicted upon them by elected Republicans and FOX News and Rush Limbaugh and the splintering of what is thought of as news media into "infotainment" and actual reporting. Trump lies like no politician before him but the lies and bullshitting have been going on a long time. It has created this situation where belief now is more important to a percentage of the public than truth or facts. That section of the public appears to be mostly Republicans.

Recently FOX was in court over typically heinous behavior by Tucker Carlson and the lawyers for FOX just came right out and said that Tucker is full of shit and no "reasonable person" would believe the nonsense he spews. FOX News should run this disclaimer in front of his show and Hannity's show because although the position of FOX is these people are full of shit and no reasonable person would believe them...well...apparently the people that watch the shows believe these clowns.

So, literally what FOX is saying here is "Yes, our shows are for idiots that will believe anything." because they claim while they are in court no "reasonable person" would buy into this nonsense. What does this say about all the Republican politicians that go on FOX and parrot the crap that Carlson or Hannity say? Well, according to FOX lawyers...these elected Republicans are also full of shit. So, all those idiotic call-ins to Hannity Trump makes are, according to FOX lawyers, not meant to be taken seriously.

Seems a lot of FOX viewers never got this memo.

Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' "

The judge in this case sided with FOX lawyers stating:

"Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive[s] with an appropriate amount of skepticism' about the statement he makes."

Hilariously meaning that the judge thought "Yeah, and reasonable person would recognize Carlson is full of shit."

"Exaggeration and non-literal commentary", ha, the nice way of saying bullshit. Carlson is just a bullshit artist and people coming to his show should come in knowing they are going to be bullshitted. This defense has been applied to Hannity as well, who they always say is not reporting news, nor presenting facts, he is "entertainment."

Really? Why is he on FOX News then?

After so many years of just having bullshit dumped on them and into their heads how are these obviously not "reasonable people", according to FOX lawyers, supposed to know which way is up?

FOX takes no responsibility for this as their take is "Well, if you believe Carlson or Hannity you are an idiot and that's your problem not ours."
