Trump's strategy from the beginning was to get his people to vote in person, knowing the Dems were depending in large measure on mail-in voting, so he could claim victory using early vote counting in his favor.

This gave him the argument that he was way ahead, winning the election, when all of a sudden millions of fraudulent ballots were cast in order to steal the win away from him.

Everyone on the planet who had been paying attention, knew that's what was going to happen, early Trump vote counting, later Biden vote counting.  Petulance, petulance, petulance! "I can't lose, I just can't lose."! Bankruptcy was his out when he lost while in business; moral bankruptcy here.
