As a young teenager, the National Lampoon magazine and radio show certainly warped my mind and influenced what I laugh at. Monty Python also played a key role. I recently came upon the radio show's final episode. It's a mash-up of many of the skits they produced over just a few short years. You won't hear much of the skit, but you'll get a sense for the pushing of the envelope anarchy and often bad taste. You'll hear Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Brian Doyle-Murray, snippets of song parodies of James Taylor, Cat Stevens, and Neil Young. It's a mish-mash of great memories for those who grew up with it. I'm not sure how it'll be received by others. I didn't experience radio serials like my folks did but this was the one time that I had a sense of the joy one derived from this medium. It's here, if you want to give it a try.
