Icon Well....here is something that may make prosecution of this officer difficult....

I was just watching a collection of videos of the shooting of the 13 yr old Chicago teen and observed something that may exonerate this officer and make this incident very hard to prosecute with a conviction. If you watch the actual shooting/body cam video, just a millisecond prior to the officer firing his handgun, the flashing strobe from his flashlight causes a dark shadow to appear that creates an image that resembles the handgun is still in his hand.  It looks like the shadow is cast upon the fence to the right of the teenager and is being caused by the bright light casting a shadow upon the fence that looks like he still has a gun in his hand.  The flashing strobes from these flashlights are remarkably bright, too - and disorientating.  I realize people will think this is splitting hairs, but in Tennesse vs Garner, (which basically outlawed the concept of police being able to shoot a fleeing felon just because the felon is fleeing unless certain criteria are met), the standard set for these sort of things is what a "reasonable police officer" believes to be true.
