The internet way just brings a new approach. I agree - thumbing through the used CD racks at Plan 9 in Charlottesville, VA was a favorite lunch time event of mine. With streaming and instant downloads the norm now - there are still challenges that only the connected net can solve. I was recently listening to a 3 piece folk group called The Road Dog Divas - a mostly short lived group which featured a musician who goes by the name Myshkin Warbler these days. I had their first CD but read online of a 2nd low run release. I reached out via email to one of the former members of the group (we're talking a group who last recorded 20 or so years prior). She replied back and offered up a download of the 2nd CD - along with a some fond reminiscence of her time with the band. That would not have happened in the used CD bin days - and probably not in those tiny lists in the back of GoldMine (you wouldn't be able to read those lists now Peter!). So sad yes, but just different.
