I listened to the the whole thing, and as many others he's got some valid points... -
HOWEVER I would feel extremely scared as an american if the US foreign policy should be based on his views and ideology. For one thing he positively hates Glenn Greenwald and all he stands for in regards to helping Snowden and other freedom of speech issues. If it were up to him, then Snowden and other whistle-blowers should be assassinated ASAP. That kind of talk is just dangerous and downright stupid. Further, his belief in the russians capabilities is, as is usual in US agencies, extremely overrated. Putin's goals are mostly just to cause rifts in the transatlantic partnerships in order to keep the world as multi-polar as possible.
And the sooner the west realizes that the Crimean peninsula is as important to Putin as Hawaii is to the US then we can get on from there. Obviously, that does NOT mean he should be allowed anything else in Ukraine.
