My views pretty much align with the article's author, though my wife and I haven't made the leap to gun ownership. Things in the country, and in our relatively sedate region would have to deteriorate far more significantly before we would exercise that second amendment right. And then, honestly, what would that do for us? Humans don't have a very good sense for risk assessment and I struggle changing the smoke detector battery so it might not turn out well for this board member. Sugar consumption is far more likely to do me in than the neighborhood Trump cultists.
