Icon This was probably my favorite little moment from last night...

So, they play the clip of Barr saying Trump and his goons are full of shit and then they play the clip of asking Ivanka what she thought of what Barr said and she says, yeah, she believed Barr. I just wish we could have had a live shot of Donald when they showed this clip.

On the whole I thought night one was OK, I did not get a lot out of it but I paid attention so many things were just replays for me. I guess they sadly have to remind or convince a lot of people that January 6th actually happened so, this was their approach.

I basically was agitated having to see it all again and what a bunch of clowns and animals those Trump supporters were but I did not feel that they likely swayed anybody with what they showed.

As usual, hopefully I am wrong.

I am hoping the presentation improves and we get more that is bombshell level that might make the people that don't want to see this take notice.

I don't have a good sense of where they are going and if the plan is just to put the info in the public domain so that the people that are going to sue Trump can use it in their civil suits.

I think probably the best piece of info that they presented was that Pence actually became the commander and chief during the attack and gave all the orders to save the country and the people at the capitol. Trump did nothing and so the people around him were considering using the 25th amendment in the moment.

However, as it was presented it seemed it likely would go by most viewers so, I don't know how effective it was. I can't be used as a gauge because in order to judge it I would need to try to try to see it from the perspective of a person that had no idea what happened on 1/6. I mean, I guess they had to sort of approach it that way.

I guess the last night of this thing they will just play a bunch of video footage of the attack. Which again, is fine to show "Yeah, this really happened." but I mean if Marc watched this I would be curious what he thought.

When it was over I went and watched what Tucker Carlson said on his show. It was off the wall nonsense and literally like Carlson does not even share the same planet as the rest of us. That guy has totally gone over a cliff, likely taken a bunch of viewers with him, and it seems insane he is even on TV.

So, I guess here we are sitting on the precipice of oblivion and we failed to back away from the edge last night.
