Well, it is funny if you set aside that some of these people are really trying to do harm to the country, and in turn, the world. 

Yeah, if you gave Trump this kind of opening to go after his fellow Republican candidates, he would take full advantage of it. He does not believe in mercy and he is just not at all a nice person. So, he would club any one of his opponents with their wrongdoing like they were helpless baby seals. His fanbase likes this about him though.

They won't go after him mostly because they know if they criticize him in any way, his voters, the MAGA crowd, will turn on them. Nikki Haley made a joke about him at CPAC, just a joke, and angry Trump morons chased her into an elevator screaming and chanting at her. Ron tried to keep bringing up he paid off a porn star he was banging to cover it up while at the same time saying he would not extradite Trump from Florida. He only said it, did not criticize that Trump was trying to cover up paying a porn star to help his campaign, but the MAGA goons were outraged. Trump's polling numbers increased to three times what DeSantis was getting. Ron dropped like a rock for doing that. So, the way they see it, if they make any sort of negative comment about Trump, about a third of Republican voters get very upset with them. You can't win in a Republican primary with a third of Republican voters upset at you.

I don't know if they will pick up Republican voters if Trump ends up somehow not making it through the primary. MAGA nuts seem to hold things against you forever in the same way Trump does. Ron wants these voters but can't get at them while Trump is around. 

I can't watch any MTG interviews, she is just so amazingly stupid I find them impossible to make it through one, so I skipped the 60 Minutes thing but obviously they want to interview her because she is now at the top of the Republican power structure in DC. Which is insane and shameful but she understand how to get on TV.
