We taxpayers, through Byzantine insidious ways, are actually going to be paying for a large portion of the FauxNews settlement.

Yes, it is being reported that FauxNews may be realizing up to a 200 million tax deduction for spewing lies that have divided this country and possibly irreparably so.  Apparently, it is harder to predict what exact tax deductions will be allowed because this is a settlement between two private companies.  If the government was the complainant, then that would have been disclosed public information.

On top of this, Murdoch inc. is also reportedly going to pass on this settlement to its own viewers by raising advertising fees and fees pushed over to the platforms that carry its channel.  So, even non-viewers of FauxNews will be ponying up some cash if cable carriers rise subscription fees (I stream, so I won't be paying to cable carrier companies).

Think of what a masterful piece of craftsmanship was thought up when this tax law was when written.  A corporation can screw up in fantastic ways and others pay for it - the American way!

And don't forget, this tax deduction will also carry over with any of the other settlements as well.
