For God's sake, don't tweak the truss rod. Take it to a person who is either a trained luthier (Best) or at least someone who knows specifically about truss rods and all the other issues that may appear to be truss rod issues.

If you have tweaked the truss rod, go to a luthier RIGHT NOW. You can learn in a day or two how to do it yourself, but until you've done that, leave it alone. What you may think is a truss rod issue can be something else entirely.
