The Likud party has become the personification of "You will become what you hate". I am not willing to expand this to the Israeli population in general at this point. In the beginning I was reticent to use the G word, but now that more Gazans are dyeing of starvation and preventable disease than direct warfare - as well as the IDF firing missiles at refugee camps - it's definitely a genocide.
The Hutu attacks in the Red Sea are a clear provocation by Iran to try and pull us into this war directly. I hope we don't go that route.
Bernie is advocating cutting funding for Israel in the upcoming appropriations bill. I can get behind that, as well as going after Hamas' revenue streams (Banking & Crypto) as much as possible. We have to keep the diplomatic channels open and active even if the primary actors are not listening - if we increase the persuasion across the region, something may break towards peace.
