There's something especially repugnant about indifference. Its unwillingness to even acknowledge the suffering that should stare one in the face but has mastered the ability to see through and around other's pain. At the border, do Christian Americans fail to see Jesus in the faces of these most vulnerable people? I almost wish he did exist and would one day wield a sword against his alleged followers. Now that would be a Christ whom I could get behind!
