Reg. You don't mention any other family other than his ex wife and his young daughter. Are others invested in his recovery as you are? I'm sure this was on your radar - but AA is something to consider. Again, takes buy in from your friend but does get him connected to a sponsor who can help with some of the heavy lifting you're doing.
