For reasons unknown to me I can't respond via PM. I am getting an error message when I try, so I just want to thank this person that sent me a message for sharing with me and say if I can eventually reply with a PM I will.
As an update, my brother was taken by ambulance to the hospital around 2am Friday for severe chest and stomach pain. Took them a while to sort out what was wrong with him, turns out it was his gallbladder which was removed on Friday. He is back home, recovering from the surgery. I do not know yet what it will mean for his drinking. Obviously, my hope is it will be part of curtailing it, but I don't know. He is not supposed to drink post-surgery but not having a gallbladder does not mean you can't consume alcohol. It does mean, I believe that you should only consume it, once recovered and once your body adapts to no longer having a gallbladder. People's bodies can react differently.
