The guitar and the bass being played have the same logo on the headstock, which I assume is the manufacturer. I am guessing due to the fact everything going on here seems to be designed to both look and sound very interesting, this is why they have chosen a guitar and bass from this luthier. 

The box I am asking about is made by Moog, but what is it and what is it designed to do. I believe the bass player has one as well, not sure it is the same as the one the guitar player is using.
