It seems that the Dem's don't want Dean in their club anyway.
I've never read a Franken book but I'm beginning to think maybe I should. He gets more press and attention than any of the candidates. I don't really understand what makes Franken so dangerous, relevant, or important. To me it seems like the right wing just wants to shut him up.
I'm aware that the guys as far left as you can get, at least I'm aware that that's how he's presented in the media. I also remember him writing an apology to Ashcroft not long ago for something he did. Honestly though, I have not paid any attention to Franken because I guess to me, without researching him I'm sorry to say, he has fallen into a catagory of one of those guys that will rant and rave and I don't want to sit through the whole thing to get to whatever grain of truth he claims to be unearthing.
But he just keeps popping up everywhere it seems. Like you can't have a discussion about Democrat candidates without Clinton (understandable) or Franken (why?) popping up.
Do I have the wrong image of this guy? I thought he was a comedian. Did that change? Isn't it political humor that he writes? Or does he now portray himself as a serious political journalist? Someone fill me in I'm clueless on this and I guess what I'm looking for is for someone to define Al Franken and what it is officially that he does.
I'm going to go look up one of his books on Amazon now to see what they say. I guess I'm behind on this. Help...anyone?
Oh the other thing I'm wondering is was that stuff about Hume supposed to be funny? I mean was that like part of a comedy bit or was he really just going off on Hume?
Sorry, I guess I really just don't know enough about Franken. I remember his Saturday Night Live Days though.
