Built into the fabric of our democracy are a bunch of gentleman's agreements. All it really took to attempt to burn it all down was someone that was not ashamed of not being a gentleman. Trump was not the one that spotted this, but he sure as hell does not care about being a gentleman and had reaped the rewards of pissing all over people during his life. This is the frontman all these rotten bastards always dreamed of. 

He does not care about his reputation, how bad he looks, who he betrays or who gets hurt. This guy is willing to do it all, right in front of us. He openly gloated that Elon Musk bought him and now his party open gloats that he has bought them. They are literally proud to announce they are bought and paid for and for reasons I don't understand, a lot of people that voted for them are proud of that as well. 

Luck is winning at the casino, Trump bankrupted his casino. He's a useful idiot and he understands the importance of useful idiots so that's who he wants to fill our government with. 

He did not get away with crimes because he is lucky, he got away with them because his lawyers knew how to stall.
