During the "Born in the USA" hoopla, I remember Springsteen reportedly turning down millions from one of the car companies to sell their trucks. Whenever I hear Seger's "Like a Rock" car/truck commercial, I have to think Bruce made the right decision. Now, if an artist without the bankroll of a Springsteen or a Seger sold his song to Big Business, I'd probably be more forgiving.
