Yeah, I'd appreciate it if you would ask him if there's some kind of problem. People do get wierd in this town, and as an acquaintance of mine who used to run Virgin Records put it to me once in a hushed and conspiratorial voice, "David, you have powerful enemies". At the time, I didnt care in the slightest, knowing full well (I thought) who and why, but I do find it can make life uncomfortable at times. And it hurts my feelings, besides. Ah, well, I know I can be a bit... outspoken, at times. But, still, John Hiatt? I think we had a cup of coffee once in Canada. Sheesh.
