Mr Scott,

I can go with pretty much all you said... and as for this part

>>Also, just for the record, my lack of response >>to your non-partisan response was not refusal to >>discuss but honest incomprehension.

You established I was pissed off because the lawsuit* seemed like a snide, partisan waste of time since we're at war, right? My 'non partisan' response tried to acknowledge that if the Whitehouse and the Democratic reps were all fighting for the good of NYC, the extremists should be isolated on all sides. The lawyer who filed the suit, IMO is one such extremist.

Whatever we think of the Clinton scandals is rendered irrelevent after 9/11. The only thing that is relevent is to get the country back on its feet and help the people who need help. Now Kent and David might like a good conspiracy theory to chomp on every decade or so, but neither of them are going to solve anything by fretting over what might of happened behind the scenes. You might disagree and dislike Bush (and that's your democratic call) but since there aren't any other genuine 'war leaders' waiting in the wings to take over, we need to make the best of what you might call a bad job.

(* The lawsuit was broken on Drudge and was filed by a Clintonista lawyer who wants to undermine Bush at any opportunity. His suit asserts that Bush "allowed" 9/11 to happen. I have no evidence either way, but since he is handing some meaty propoganda to Al-Jazeera and the Arab world in general, he deserves disdain and the tag of 'Unamerican')

Before any of us declare political affiliations, do you think the 9/11 hijackers went round and took a poll of who was a Democrat, who was a Republican, who was this or that, who thinks aeroplanes are fascist conspiracies and who thinks aeroplanes are just like flying prisons full of the Aryan Nation and the Nation of Islam? I don't think so. In their minds, all the flyers on those days were spawn of the great Satan and they were there to dish out some justice for their religion of peace. Not to say that the political debate ends here, but since we all seem to be legitimate targets for those rat bastards either we can rally together or be defeated. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
