Yeah, Kent..remember that, allright.  I know ALL about ol' Lester...Ever read "Psychotic Reactions and Carbuerator Dung"?    He was clearly the BALLS behind great music reporting, and as you say, didn't take shit from anybody.   Alas, like many talented, creative people he took a "shine" to a little bit too much shine, and of all things was addicted to some form of cough medicine..yecch..which was indirectly related to his premature death. 

I definitely admire his writing, and I think DB mentioned him in a post a long time ago...although when I asked DB about this bar-side at the Baltimore gig..he looked at me in stunned disbelief, kinda like.."No, I don't think so..buddy".  But I think it was mentioned in one of David's writings..the part about Zeppelin etc..during his early influences in rock..etc..Check out the archives?
