I have a friend who's son is presently being courted by two record companies --- I have been having many talks with him about what to expect when he falls down the rabbit hole.

In 1983, I had been managing a local band called CASTLE ROCK --- we had an offer for a record deal and a tour --- the guitarist's wife threatened to leave him if he signed.

Needless to say --- I think you can guess how THAT turned out!

She left him four years later anyway!

I was crushed and left music permanently . . .
