Do you know any gay people Pat? Or any gay couples? I work in the AIDS care community in Seattle and many of my gay friends are in long term committed relationships. Some have kids by previous "straight" relationships. Some have adopted. Most are real good parents; at least they're as good as most of the straight couples I know.
That is your opinion, I would only agree with that if a child was coming out of abusive family any family would be better than that. I do not believe that it is as healthy a balanced family of man and woman. In no way do I believe that they are remotely the same.
These are thoughtful, caring, committed people; active in their jobs, their friendships, and their community. In other words, they're real people, just like you and me, and it pisses me off no end when they're reduced to concepts like "fags" by people who get their information from the Old Testament, FOX NEWS, and the Rossington Collins Band.
