Well, it does look like John Kerry is finito.  The current Ohio ballot count shows GW ahead by 140,000 votes and that is about equal to the number of provisional votes left to count, so mathematically it is a moot point, and GWB has therefore decisively won the election. 

Not that he's exactly starving, but I'm curious about what John Kerry would do with the rest of his life.  He gave up his Senate seat to run, so I assume he's done with politics.  Maybe do a couple windsurfing or senior skiing ads?   I dunno.  I suppose talk shows will be the thing for awhile, both as a guest and maybe do his own.   If DB does triage II, let's hope ol' John can lay down a track or two with David.  That'd be neat.  

And as for John Edwards, I suppose it's back to the law practice.  I assume he gave up his senate seat also in order to run for office. 

I did check my files last night, and my boys' Canadian citizenship certificates were safe and sound.  Helped me sleep better, knowing this Iraq thing will definitely now continue on and on...

Dang..can't get that Lee Greenwood tune out of my head!
