I was listening to the national news two nights ago in my car and the newscaster opened the news with..."There is a new poll out showing that Americans overwhelmingly support abortion."  This caught my attention because I knew it not to be true.  It turns out that the poll was in response to whether abortion should be allowed in cases where the life of the mother is at risk.  Had the reporter prefaced the report with this bit of information I'd have had no problem with it.  Let's see...how many abortions are performed to spare a mother's life vs how many are performed as a method of birth control?  His report should have included poll results showing that more than half of Americans do not support abortion in the way it's being abused in our country.  I feel safe in assuming the writer of the story was a liberal.
