Sorry for splitting a hair, but I was not talking about NPR, but PBS. Let's see...on PBS you have The McLaughlin Group; then John McLaughlin has his own interview show; Louis Rukeheyser (sp), then The Nightly Business Report; then the ability of the right to squash documentaries on P.O.V. How's that for a start? As for the Sunday morning shows....even conservative pundits agree that George Steph----whatever, has taking bigger bites out of Clinton et al.....and I've seen Russert harsher on Dems than Repubs many times.
It's like someone said earlier, owners are mainly middle of the road to right and they don't want to offend those in power so they won't come on their shows. Now look at the cable shows....Fox is a given. Not one show moderated by a true liberal. They have Tony Snow and Brit Hume with entire hours of newscasts. Hell, the liberals should look into filing an election law violation for some sort of equal time balance. CNN used to have Jesse Jackson but no longer. Now all we have is Phil Donahue. Even Chris Mathews is tougher on democrats than repubs and he used to work for Tip O'neill.
