respond one way or the other to the incidents of 9/11. That was a
given.Therefore the choice was going to be either a targeted response,
however crude and nasty, done strictly with harsh police
techniques on a street level, or an untargeted response, done with
large armed forces and air power. The US chose the stupid, vile, latter option, as I feared they would.
It turns out that they chose the former, as well, demonstrated by
the presence of John "DeathSquad" Negroponte on the ground in
Baghdad.Which option would you have preferred?
