the big boys get things done? what, exactly, has been done? yes, Hezbollah's a bunch of routinely innocent-targeting fucks and i'd love for them to go away, perhaps even deservedly explosively, but they don't appear to be much worse off after this latest round of airborne fuck-you Hallmarks. too bad it's so darn philosophically and realpolitikly inconvenient that all this aggression ever does is harden the Israel haters feelings and attract new admirers for their cojones to stand up to the governments they despise.

but somehow, our involvement in this - [possibly] now but certainly previously, in the form of financial & diplomatic support...rushed weapons notwithstanding - will win hearts and minds on the Arab street and in the mosques, or at least teach 'em to stay down. sure.

fighting in self-defense is one thing, but if war really was The Answer, don't you think we'd have arrived at The Nice Place by now? since we obviously haven't, db's lamentable prognosticational attitude of 'see you from behind the barricades' seems more likely than ever. gosh, how can one not look to the future and get all excited. what a sweet world we're managing to leave for our children. say, let's argue about God some more. that always helps.

anyway, a nice Gruyere or a Danish Bleu would be great with this Pinot Grigio, thanks.
