I wouldn't feel too sorry for him Mick - the alternative to the death penalty for DR would be sitting in a steel cage 23 hrs a day for 50 yrs -which some would argue is inhumane. Bottom line, I believe in many cases the DP brings closure and comfort to the victim's families ----and that is one of the main reasons I support the death penalty. The other reason is I own a cemetery next to the prison :) It really has nothing to do with making me feel that I am a better man than him.
