I am a liberal and I opposed this bill. I think you will find that this effort failed because so many people on both sides found problems in this legislation.
Really never heard them speaking out. So what did they find problematic with the Bill?
Therefore, it wasn't your super heroes on talk radio that brought this thing down. Your victory is shallow if you think it was all the strength of "your side" that made this thing fall.
I beg to differ as I know there was a huge grassroots push to get this thing to fail. The Republicans that voted for it will suffer the consequences. Not here in Texas though.
Every show I have heard the past few days I couldn't help but notice how all these guys are so caught up in their own legend ( in their own mind ) that they all talk themselves up with stories of "I brought this up first", "everybody's buying my book", "I am so fucking great", etc.
Sounds like you were listening to Hannity (who is a kiss ass) or Savage(the biggest egomaniac).
I found it to be a pitiful experience how the callers all fawn over the radio personality and use them to validate themselves. I'm sure this applies to both sides of the talk radio experience. Talk radio is making people sick inside.
That is an interesting take. I think it is an outlet for people who already conservative to vent their views
A few days was plenty for me, thank you. ( I only listened because my car is in the shop and I was in a loaner which, for some odd reason, would pick up any decent radio. )
:)
