Not sure why movie soundtracks that rock wouldn't be one's that feature an original score? Mainly, soundtracks that I like are of original score, not collections of pop songs. Most soundtracks these days are compiled of prior songs or feature songs inspired by the movie and where never even in the film or for a brief three seconds, etc.

Some of me favs, original music or not: "Amedeus", "The Wizard Of OZ", "Rumblefish", "Lawrence Of Arabia", "The Mortercycle Diaries" and most recently "Pan's Labyrinth".
