Thanks, David. More men should cry and have the guts to admit it. I'm reminded of how Ed Muskie got his head handed to him for crying over disparaging remarks made about his wife during his run for the presidency.
As to your main point, in a way I envy your mourning for all the things that we as a nation seem to have lost. I wish I cried for them. I guess my cynicism is such that I feel the battle was lost long ago.
