"Few national Democratic leaders have the courage to stand up to the Clintons."I'm not sure it's courage that they lack. Anyway, I was thinking of going out to get a puppy today because a home for puppy poop is what it seems the NYT is best suited for after that outrageous endorsement. It is kind of funny to picture Bill & Hill reading that over morning coffee. I won't go off again here with a long post, sigh, it's all wait and see at this point anyway. At least Obama crushed Hillary yesterday and Edwards put up a better number than I thought he would. I can't believe anybody that was not just a blatant party loyalist would still have any interest in voting for Hillary at this point. The Republican side is very interesting though because despite the fact that McCain is obviously the candidate that gives them the best chance to win the party hardcore and neo-cons want Romney. Romney has been the snake in the grass all along and he will go toe to toe with the Clintons in a pig fight. He will also outspend them because one rule in the Romney campaign is they will not lose this election by being outspent. Mitt and his magic Mormon underpants will not allow that. I think this is what each side is banking on now. You can bet that if it's Romney against the Clintons this election will set the record for muck. Romney, while being just an outrageous compulsive liar, has much less in his closet in terms of muck than Bill & Hill...so he will make them pay. Personally, I give the Republicans a huge edge because unless there is a Super Tuesday surprise the Democrats will enter the general election with a candidate with major flaws and major weaknesses...that's the big problem for the Democrats. Hillary or Obama will have a hard time dealing with McCain or Romney. The people in the media seem to be living under this delusion that because most of America does not like Bush that the Democrats have an advantage...that is a load of crap. Republicans may want to see Bush gone in a big bad way too but Bush is going to be gone, his term is up, this does not mean they will vote for a Democrat. They'd rather see Bush gone and Romney or McCain there...in no way does Hillary or Obama have a "change" advantage...that's an invention and a dumb one at that.
