Let me ask you this Reg, do you think McCain represents the belief the base of the Republican party?" I would say if you wanted the guy that is closest to true old fashioned Republican "values" your candidate should be Ron Paul
Ron Paul, are you kidding? You are dead wrong on that one.
but since he's not on the table here if I'm just comparing McCain to Romney there is no big difference between them really...I mean just in terms of how "Republican" they are.
One is a proven businessman and one is not. Although I don't think that would matter much but
McCain went to Zero when he teamed up with Kennedy for the imigration bill.  Then waterboarding became torture. McCain is not a conservative he is a a moderate-liberal that runs as a Rupblican

"Are you saying that those who do not want him "in" are Neo-Conservatives?" I'm certainly saying the neo-cons do not want McCain...100% true, yes. I'm not saying everybody that does not want him is a neo-con...no, that would be false. Most times when I'm talking about this stuff I'm not talking about you and me...like regular voters...I'm talking about the higher ups that work for and make decisions about the party. We just vote, Pat...I don't work for either party, do you?
The Republicans would stand a better chance with McCain but that would set a bad tone for future Republican candidates in my eyes. If McCain or Hillary wins the Democrats have won. Actually there is not really a conservative Republican in the field.

"Hardly because we (conservatives) know exactly what McCain's stance is on very key issues."

What key issues would those be, Pat? Let me guess, is illegal immigration one of them? Right at the top too, I bet! I know that was moved to the top of the "crank" list for this election...ahh...I think it takes the place of gay marriage this time out. List the issues, Pat, I'm very curious because I bet they have all been sold to you the same way they sell you the "peanut butter that tastes best"...you know like "choosy moms choose Jif!"
Reg do you live in an area where this is an issue? I'll bet not but we live down here in North Juarez in Austin. Hell the little town I grew up in Ennis has been invaded by wetbacks. So no it is not I'm following the party line here I'm living in the middle of it.

Look, I know I don't know the secret conservative handshake but I do know these fellas have been working overtime to make sure "real conservatives" believe illegal immigration is one of if not our biggest problem. So list the big issues McCain is not "conservative" on...
So if it not that what are the big 3 then Reg?

"So if the choices were Hillary or John Mc it would be the choice of Hillary or Hillary light."

What? Come on now, Pat, McCain at least pays his dues to the same club as you. You at least have to stand by your man in that regard don't you? Hell, even a commie like me thinks Hillary sucks far worse than John McCain and I wouldn't insult him by calling him "Hillary light"...or is it Hillary Lite? Either way, McCain is in no way Hillary. I find Romney much more like Hillary. In fact I have a hard time knowing which is which...these pigs should wear collars or something.
If that is the case then you guys should be pulling for Mitt to win then. How come Mitt does not get the crossover vote that McCain does? Can you explain?

"That combined with the fact that he looks like he could role over and die at any moment makes him less than the ideal candidate."

Hey, who was that hilarious asshole that went on tv and radio for one of the other Republican candidates and actually stood up there and gave a speech about how McCain was aging 4 times as fast as the other candidates...ha...and the best part was the shithead was serious! Was that Chuck Norris...I can't remember now.
Norris is a Huckabee lover, go figure.

Hey, plus Rambo has endorsed McCain! You like Rambo don't you?
I knot this Reg the latest Rambo movie rated a 8.8 on IMDB.com which is unbelievable since everyone was ready to pan the movie. The guy can't act to save his life but at 60 he is still putting out good movies. He and Steven Segal should talk. Steven needs a lot of help.
