Well, I was not saying "do nothing" what I was saying was I don't think putting together a plan to round up 15 million people and deport them is a very good idea.

First, the illegal immigrants are just the low man on this totem pole. It's easy to point to them and yell "Criminals!" but we do have to consider what they are doing here and how they got here and the truth is they were enticed to come here and then exploited in every way they could be exploited...at the very least I'd call that entrapment. We lure them here, use them, and then call them criminals and toss them out...that's a nice system.

Now, I think if we are going to call all of them criminals we need to call everybody that is enabling them to stay here criminals too because that's how it works isn't it? If you help people commit a crime, and everybody that is doing anything to help them stay here is helping them commit this crime, you are guilty too. So that means everybody that gives them work, a place to live, knows who and where they are and does not report them and on and on...round them up to and off with their heads!

So, I think you take that 15 million number and, as a conservative estimate, we'll say that for every one of these illegal immigrants there are 5 people that are citizens of this country that are doing something to allow them to stay...and now we've got about 75 million people we could charge with a crime or fine or whatever. That's a lot of criminals, 75 million people running around breaking the law and that's probably a low estimate. At this point we may have to consider that a third of our population could be criminals or aiding and abetting this activity. We've got a lot of people in trouble here...we need a new Joe McCarthy...is Tom Tancredo the man for the job?

All of these companies that employee them and have benefited for years from doing so...let's see...that's years of retribution and remuneration they owe because they really are the ones that enticed these people to come here and stay...and have babies here that are now citizens. They have fucked us royally in this whole illegal immigration mess...they are the big fish we need to go after because they pretty much invited these people here and have reaped the most reward from their presence.

This is why I don't think any politician wants to do much about this, or at least do much about the people who are already here. None of these people running for president are going to do anything to round these people up and throw them out...they would not touch that with a ten foot pole.

We can and should make it a priority to secure our Southern borders because in this whole mess that is our big problem. Once we have done that I think you'll find that when our government looks at the problem they will always end up doing one thing...granting amnesty to the people that are already here and putting them all on a mandatory path to citizenship.

Yes, …but not amnesty for generations of Americans with massive healthcare issues?  Because Americans with healthcare issues don’t pick Valencia apples and Shafter almonds for a nickel on the dollar while bringing the twilight joviality levels up a percentage or two with so melodious a language and a penchant for laughter and song…………..

It's too much of a shit storm for them to handle it any other way and they all have already come to that conclusion...even Mitt Romney knows this. Right now the issue has been blown up to epic proportions to be used as a political football and this is what I have a problem with. I don't have an issue with the idea we should do something but I think the best thing we can do is secure our Southern borders and until that is done we can't move forward. Our current president does not want to and has refused to address this and so it will be left to the next president...and none of these candidates will likely do much more than Bush has done.
