I have absolutely nothing to contribute to our idiotic national clusterfuck of a 'dialogue' on healthcare reform. The 'best healthcare system in the world' still results in an epidemic of diabetes, childhood obesity, an embarrassingly high infant mortality rate and an endemic population of poor people who receive no outreach, no preventative health care intervention, education or support, no substance abuse and mental health treatment, and who receive their primary health care when they are in crisis- in the emergency rooms of our hospitals.

And it's all in the hands of the insurance companies and their lobbyists, and we all attend 'town meetings' to defend them like they're benevolent uncles with our best interest in mind, acting like our own elected government is some sort of conspiracy to take away some moronic conception of freedom that we think we believe in.

It's pathetic, and it's embarrassing that the only remaining superpower in the world has such an entrenched aversion to acting in the interest of its own citizens. The rest of the world, at least the world we consider our peers- the world we care about- shakes its head in wonderment and confusion.

I am as aghast at the Democrats who have stalled and fucked around with these reform proposals as I am with the easy targets of FOX and their robotic tea partier/thugs.

As for my jabbing you 'Randym': You deserve it. You act as provocateur/troll at DBIS, never putting out a single original idea but lazily contenting yourself with cutting and pasting from the FOX playbook. If you were just dumb I'd be easier. It's your incurious stubbornness and willful ignorance that makes you so damn ... jabbable.
